๐ŸŽฏCollection/Trait Bidding (CTO)

Collection Bidding Tasks

Collection Bidding Tasks are used to create automated offers on all tokens of a collection

  • Resource-friendly because 1 single offer is covering the whole collection

  • Low profit spans on most collections as it's very competitive

Available Markets & Blockchains

Available Marketplaces for each collection are highlighted on the top left of each collection.

On the right side below the "favorite" icon we do also highlight on which blockchain the collection is hosted.

Click on the "CTO" icon to start a collection bidding task.

Trait Bidding Tasks

Collection Trait Bidding Tasks are used to create automated offers on all tokens of a specified collection trait.

  • Very profitable strategy

  • Research-intensive as profitable traits have to be identified first

  • Resource-friendly because 1 single offer is covering the whole collection

  • Low profit spans on most collections as it's very competitive

To start a Collection Trait Bidding task, you have to click on the very left icon "traits", which will open the trait overview.

Click on the very left icon to see all traits of a collection. You can filter for collections that have Collection Trait Bidding enabled on OpenSea.

Now you'll see each Trait of the collection as a dedicated box which can be used to creat Trait Bidding Tasks.

From the traits overview page, you can start a Trait Bidding by clicking the "bid" (hand) icon.

Check Token Bidding Tasks if you want to bid on collections with Trait Bidding disabled.

Combined Trait Bidding

When selecting multiple traits from the search engine, a combined Trait Bidding task can be created for OpenSea. Please note this options is only supported for PRO Members.

After selecting your traits, hit *Create Tasks" to find the combined Trait CTO option.

The Combined CTO option will appear to create your CTO bidding on all assets having all of the selected traits assigned. Butler will outbid the following bidding types as part of these special CTOs:

  • Collection Offers

  • Combined Trait Offers

  • Trait offers of each individual trait, if the total count of Traits is 4 or lower

Creating a combined Trait CTO

Please note Trait Floor price caps will be assigned to each individual Trait instead of their combination

Instant counter bidding will react on any of the selected Traits for a combined Trait CTO

Combined Trait CTOs will outbid all of the following bid types:

  • Collection Bids

  • Combined Trait Bids

  • Single trait bids for any of the selected Traits (if there are not more than 4 traits selected)

CTO Configuration

CTOs do have mostly the same configuration options as Token Bidding tasks. However there are some special notes below.

The blue save icon enables you to save your own default configurations for many of the configuration fields. If the icon is blue, it indicates that this setting is already stored as your default configuration.

  • With PRO Access you can choose the target market place you want to do Bidding on:

Which market would you like to process your bids on?
  • With PRO Access Position bidding is an additional option on OpenSea CTOs:

Position bidding reduces risk when farming XP on OS2

Position bidding is counting all bids of the same size as 1 position. So if multiple bids are active at the same price they count as 1 position.

  • Maximum active bids will limit the number of active bids per CTO to ensure you're not exposing to much liquidity (bids) on the same collection or trait. Butler will automatically cancel the oldest bid once your task is exceeding this limit. Does also work with ICB

  • For collection tasks we recommend to always set Maximum active bids

  • Since a CTO is only processing 1 bid each time, the validity can be kept low between 10 - 15 minutes

  • Immediately start task will also play the CTO immediately after creation

Running Tasks

After creating a Collection Trait Bidding Task, it will appear in the Collection Task menu in Butler:

On this screen you will see all your Collection & Collection Trait Bidding Tasks.
  • Green border: means you're having the highest bid(s)

  • Yellow border: someone else is having the highest bid(s)

  • Red border: there's an error (shouldn't happen)

You will need to start the Collection Task Engine to start the bidding process.

It can be enabled on the Dashbord and the header of the page

Enable CTO engine on the Dashboard

It's recommended to add the NFTButler-prefix to your OpenSea Profile: see instructions.
